This session - Healthy Food Relationships - is being facilitated by Dr Courtney Madja, and will provide advice on helping children to be confident, adventurous eaters who have a positive relationship with food
 
Included in the session:
  • Assisting childen who are fussy eaters,
  • De-stressing meal times,
  • Creating a positive food environment at home, and 
  • How parents/carers can nurture healthy food relationships.

About our presenter: Dr Courtney Madja completed her medical degree at UWA in 2010 (MBBS(hons)). She has worked in paediatrics since 2014 and is currently an Advanced Trainee (senior doctor) at Perth's Children's Hospital. Courtney is in her final years of subspecialty training in the areas of General Paediatrics, Community Child Health and Paediatric Rehabilitation Medicine.
 
Courtney has experience working with children and their families with a range of concerns about eating and nutrition; from fussy eating to complex feeding difficulties requiring a multidisciplinary team approach.
